• Yellow Ribbon Application

Thank you for your interest in the Yellow Ribbon Program at Monmouth University. Please note that there are a very limited number of seats in this program. You may not submit this application until you have committed to attend the University.

    • At the undergraduate level, "committed" means that you have submitted an enrollment deposit (if pursuing full-time study) or have returned the part-time reply form.
    • At the graduate level, you must be registered for classes.

To be considered for the Yellow Ribbon Program, you must:

    1. Submit an online Yellow Ribbon Application.
    2. Fax a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Tabitha Conlan at 732-923-4791.
    3. Fax a copy of your DD-214 to Tabitha Conlan at 732-923-4791.

Your application will NOT be considered until it is complete and all required documentation has been received by the Financial Aid Office. There are a limited number of seats in this program, and available seats are awarded based on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is critical that you complete your application in a timely manner. You will be notified by the Financial Aid Office once your application, Certificate of Eligibility, and DD-214 (if applicable) have been reviewed and a determination of your eligibility for Monmouth University Yellow Ribbon funding has been made. Note that submission of an application is not a guarantee that you will be awarded Yellow Ribbon funding.

NOTE: If you are currently serving on active duty, you are not eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. If you are on active duty and will be released prior to beginning your enrollment at Monmouth, you may apply for the Yellow Ribbon Program but you must provide a copy of your DD-214 to the Financial Aid Office at least two weeks in advance of beginning your enrollment. Students who submit the DD-214 less than two weeks prior to the beginning of the term will be considered on a space available basis for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

If you are currently serving on active duty, you are not eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Contact your VA representative to inquire about other funding for which you may be eligible.

If you have any questions regarding your admission status please contact Lesbia Ortiz-Torres at 732-263-5869, for questions regarding financial aid please contact Tabitha Conlan at 732-263-5506, and for questions regarding veterans' services please contact Jeff Hood at 732-263-5258.

Our maximum contribution for the academic year will be $7,000 which the Department of Veteran Affairs will match.
