To be considered for the Yellow Ribbon Program, you must:
Your application will NOT be considered until it is complete and all required documentation has been received by the Financial Aid Office. There are a limited number of seats in this program, and available seats are awarded based on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is critical that you complete your application in a timely manner. You will be notified by the Financial Aid Office once your application, Certificate of Eligibility, and DD-214 (if applicable) have been reviewed and a determination of your eligibility for Monmouth University Yellow Ribbon funding has been made. Note that submission of an application is not a guarantee that you will be awarded Yellow Ribbon funding.
NOTE: If you are currently serving on active duty, you are not eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. If you are on active duty and will be released prior to beginning your enrollment at Monmouth, you may apply for the Yellow Ribbon Program but you must provide a copy of your DD-214 to the Financial Aid Office at least two weeks in advance of beginning your enrollment. Students who submit the DD-214 less than two weeks prior to the beginning of the term will be considered on a space available basis for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
If you are currently serving on active duty, you are not eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Contact your VA representative to inquire about other funding for which you may be eligible.

For the 2014-15 academic year, Monmouth University's Yellow Ribbon Program will have a total of 40 seats available which will include both new and continuing students. Our maximum contribution for the academic year will be $7,000 which the Department of Veteran Affairs will match. Please note for 2014-15 the private institution tuition and fees cap for the Post 911 GI Bill is $20,235.02.
